On May 15, the first new round of Halepua`a forest restoration work was completed. This round focused on stabilizing existing conditions, with 48% of labor hours spent on Little Fire Ant Control and 24.6% spent on controlling invasive flora. The remainder of hours were used tending existing plantings and completing a small amount of new out-plantings. The work was compiled onto a display board, which can be viewed at the Malama O Puna house in Pahoa, or on this page.
